5 Excellent USB-C Chargers Best Suitable For Your Smartphone
Table of Contents
What makes a good phone charger?
Short answer? USB-C charger. But why? These days smartphones are capable of fast charging through USB power. Some of them charge at extremely fast speeds. Unfortunately for various reasons, most smartphone companies don’t supply a charger with their phones anymore. Therefore you are in desperate need to buy a USB-C charger from a 3rd party. Why USB-C? As you may know, I’m a big supporter of the USB-C standard. And with most Android phones these days having a USB-C charging port it makes sense that the charger you own also is a USB-C one. Apple is going to get there soon. Despite their best efforts that is.
So what makes a good USB-C charger? In my opinion, it should follow the standards set by the USB-IF group. They are the ones responsible for releasing all the USB protocols. So that means the charger must support power delivery. With power delivery, these chargers can push out up to 45W. But this depends on if your phone supports the correct voltages and amp. Long story short you should be able to charge the majority of smartphones out there at full speed using these USB-C chargers. If not they will still charge way faster than the old 5W charger with the USB A port on it that you have lying in a drawer.
